I am born in Hong Kong, a small city which houses more than 6 million people at my time. I spent my childhood and teenage time in one of these "closets" on the left. People are working fast and hard in the city. There are many round-the-clock shopping malls and restaurants which you can shop and eat all the time. I have finished my high school in Hong Kong, and have gone through the HKCEE and HKALE public exams. They are the two Big Ones for students before entering the university. Because of my height, and the availability of basketball courts, I've developed a strong interest in basketball game from then.

Just before I prepared to accept the offer from Hong Kong University, I was notified that I received a scholarship to study at the University of British Columbia in Canada. Therefore, my five years overseas study had begun. Vancouver is a beautiful place. There are many outdoor activities you can do especially in the summer. Jogging, gym, playing hackysack / frisbee, snowboarding, swimming, etc are the things I usually do. Living independently in Vancouver, I have been trained to be a tough and sporty guy.

I am interested in the use of information
technology to streamline workflow; and I understand that many people are
frustrated by poorly designed computer interface. Therefore, I have come
to the Human-Computer
Interaction Institute (HCII) of Carnegie
Mellon University (CMU) to obtain interdisciplinary traning in computer
interface design. I will graduate with a Master of Human-Computer Interfaction
in Aug 2005. |

Life is full of surprises. Nobody knows where you will be or who you will meet next. Nevertheless, I have always been making the best use of my time in extending my knowledge as well as challenging myself. | |
